Integration with Hobex – Process payments easily and securely

Introduction – Why connect Hobex?

By integrating Hobex, you enable your guests to pay quickly, securely, and effortlessly directly via your Guestnet platform. Whether it’s online checkout or booking add-on services—payments are processed end-to-end, fully integrated, and documented with full transparency.

How to set up the integration

  1. Ensure you have an active Hobex merchant account.

  2. Check whether your contract includes online payment functionality (e-commerce interface).

  3. Set up Hobex as a payment method in ASA or Protel Air and enter the Code "HOBEX".

Requirements for the connection:

  • Your Hobex API credentials (EntityID and AccessToken), provided by Hobex

Activate Apple Pay and Google Pay

In addition to classic card payments, Apple Pay and Google Pay can also be connected via Hobex. Additional activations and settings are required for this.

Google Pay

To use Google Pay, a merchant account must first be created in the Google Pay and Wallet Console.

Requirements

The following is required for activation:

  • a completed business profile in the Google Pay and Wallet Console

  • a stored website/webshop URL

  • approval of the website for Google Pay

  • Google Merchant ID

  • technical activation in the Hobex COPYandPAY integration

Setup

  1. Open the Google Pay and Wallet Console.

  2. Complete the business profile.

  3. Then go to Google Pay API.

  4. Add the website on which Google Pay should be used, meaning your Guestnet URL.

  5. Select Gateway as the integration type.

  6. Upload the screenshots of the check-out process required by Google.

  7. Submit the request to Google.

Note about the screenshots

Screenshots of the payment process are required for approval. If Google Pay is not yet active in production, the process can be tested via the test system. This makes it possible to create screenshots with the Google Pay button visible.

Technical activation

Once Google Pay has been approved, Google Pay must be activated in Guestnet under Settings > Marketplace > Payment Providers > Edit.

Apple Pay

For Apple Pay, the Guestnet domain used must be registered with Apple.

Requirements

The following is required for activation:

  • access to the Hobex Open Payment Platform

  • Guestnet domain of the customer, e.g. customer.guest.net

  • Apple Domain Verification File

  • Merchant ID / Entity ID

  • registration of the domain

  • technical activation in the COPYandPAY integration

Setup

  1. Open the Hobex Open Payment Platform.

  2. Select the corresponding merchant in the entity structure.

  3. Go to Administration > Mobile Payment.

  4. Open the section Apple Pay Web Merchant Registration.

  5. Click Check registration status.

For domain verification the following domain must be placed:

https://[DOMAIN_NAME]/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association

Example:

https://customer.guest.net/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association

As soon as the file is accessible there, the corresponding domain must be forwarded to Hobex for registration. After successful registration, Apple Pay can be activated technically.

Technical activation

Once Apple Pay has been approved, Apple Pay must be activated in Guestnet under Settings > Marketplace > Payment Providers > Edit.

Note about the Open Payment Platform

If access to the Hobex Open Payment Platform cannot be found, the login or access should be requested directly from Hobex.
