Introduction – What does this module do for you?

The My Vacation module helps you manage your guests’ current stays clearly and provide important information centrally. It ensures a modern, transparent guest experience – directly integrated into your Guestnet.


Feature overview

These functions are available in the My Vacation module:

  • Display of checked-in guests from the PMS

  • Preview of arriving guests (with Pre-Check-in activated)

  • Status overview of welcome emails and email addresses

  • Insight into guest invoice items and spa appointments


How to set up the My Vacation module

  1. Open the backend section Guestapp > My Vacation

  2. Click on current stays to get to this overview

  3. To display stays in this overview, a guest registration must be completed in the PMS system and an email address must be provided.

In the overview you will find the following options. Check the integration with your PMS (e.g., synchronization of guests and invoices)

  • Reservation number

  • Last name

  • First name

  • Email address

  • Arrival on

  • Departure on

  • Room number

  • Traveling guests

  • Welcome email sent

  • Check-in completed

  • Allow self-checkout -> Here you can choose whether guests should be allowed to check themselves out via the checkout tool

  • Details – CTA

4. Activate Pre-Check-in if guests should be displayed before arrival

5. Test the view with an existing stay


FAQ about the module

How can I search for a reservation within a specific period?

In the list of current stays, you can search for specific time periods.

Does the guest need to be logged in to use the module?

Yes, the guest must be logged in to access this module.

Are the data stored?

Yes, all information comes from the PMS and is processed in Guestnet for display – the data remains secure and GDPR compliant.

The room bill is not displayed or an error message appears. What can I do?

This can have the following causes:

  1. Connection problem with the PMS

    • The connection to the PMS was interrupted.

  2. PMS update

    • The PMS is currently being updated. During this process, the server is temporarily unavailable.

  3. Input error or guest data issue

    • Check if the problem occurs only for a specific guest by logging in with different guest details.

Solution steps:

  • Wait a few minutes and try again.

  • If the problem persists, please contact our Support.
