Introduction – What does this module do for me?

The Morning mail module helps you digitally inform guests about the current day’s events – whether it’s weather, programs, menus, or custom content. It provides a modern, visually appealing guest experience – directly integrated into your Guestnet platform.


Function overview

These functions are available in the Morning mail module:

  • Individually customizable daily newspaper with modular content boxes

  • Integration of content from other Guestnet modules (e.g. spa, menu, bike tours)

  • Export to PDF (A3, A4, A5), in three languages (DE, IT, EN)

  • Format options: portrait or landscape, with folding options

  • Favorites function for Morning mail templates

  • Scheduled publication on Guestnet

  • Custom header image per language

Mobile optimization (view via browser); Automatic updates from modules like weather, daily program & menu

Optional:

  • Support for additional fonts (for an additional fee)


How to set up the Morning mail module

Open the backend area: Guestapp > Morning mail

Corporate Identity

  1. Store your corporate identity:

    • Colors, fonts, font sizes, format (A3, A4, A5) (Morning mail > Settings)

  2. Add a custom header image

    • Recommended size portrait: 1,157 × 324 px

    • Recommended size landscape: 3,404 × 396 px

  3. Create a new Morning mail via “Morning mail > New entry

  4. Set publication date

Content boxes

  1. Add content boxes; all changes are saved immediately:

  • New content:

    If you want to add custom content. Here you can freely add background color, title color, image, image placement, and text. You can format the text similarly to how you would in a Word document: font size, text color, left/right alignment, etc.
    Then click "Save".

  • Weather block:

    You can choose between a large and a small box. The weather forecast is then automatically updated to the set date.

  • Snow depth:

    If you want to add the snow report for tomorrow.

  • Quotes/Sayings:

    If you’d like to add saved daily quotes, sayings or similar content, you can select them here. Please note that a random piece of content will always be displayed. In the next step, you can choose the background colour, title colour, image and image placement according to your preferences.

  • Custom content:

    If you want to add your own previously created content, select:

    • The category

    • Decide whether a random or specific content from the selected category should appear

  • Content from Guestnet:

    If you want to add content from other Guestnet modules such as spa treatments, bike tours, etc.
    Once you've added a content box, you can add, edit, and arrange as many other content boxes as you wish.
    You can arrange the content boxes by defining the desired position in the top left corner of each box.

    You can view the Italian and English versions of the Morning mail by clicking “it” or “en” in the top left. Translations will be automatically adopted if they have been stored in Guestnet beforehand.

Publish via the “Publish in Guestnet” button – the Morning mail will then be published at 00:00 or on the predetermined time on the defined date for all guests.

Optional: PDF export for printing


Content boxes

Resize: You can freely resize content boxes by clicking the arrows on the right and bottom sides.

Edit content: With the "gear icon" you can edit the current content of the content box.

Replace content: With the "rotating arrow icon" you can replace the current content of your content box with another content category.

Delete content box: With the "trash can icon" you can delete the content box.


Possible issues

It is important that the browser zoom settings are set to 100%. Otherwise, it may not be possible to move/edit the second or especially the third column of the Morning mail.


FAQ about the module

Do guests need to be logged in to see the Morning mail?

No, the Morning mail is viewable for all guests without login.

Note: If the main menu is configured to restrict access to the “My Stay” section to logged-in guests only, this section will be visible exclusively to authenticated users.

Can I create multiple versions (DE/IT/EN)?

Yes, via the “de / it / en” buttons in the editor. If translations are stored in Guestnet, they will be automatically adopted in each language version.

How can I edit or copy an existing Morning mail?

  • Copy: Click the “copy” icon and select the desired date.

  • Edit: Click the “edit” icon (pencil)

Can I save a Morning mail as a template?

Yes, click the star icon on the right of the Morning mail entry.

How can I change the order of boxes?

Best via the position selector in the top left of the box.
Drag-and-drop is not recommended.

How can I change or add fonts?

By default, Google Fonts are available. An additional font can be added for an additional fee:

  • Send us the font file (if not a Google Font) to [email protected]

  • Include written permission for font usage

  • We will provide a quote for implementation
