Introduction - What are the beneftis of this module?

The Guest Login ensures that guests can individually access content, services, and personalized information based on their booking or room number. It serves as the central entry point into the digital guest journey.support.guest.net

By integrating with the PMS, guest data is automatically recognized. This allows guests to experience a seamless digital experience from the first login, such as:

  • Viewing their stay

  • Accessing booking details

  • Utilizing digital services (e.g., orders, activities)

  • Receiving information about events or offers

  • Personalized greetings and relevant content


Feature Overview

With the Guest Login, you can:

  • Allow guests to log in using room number + password or reservation number + last name

  • Define individual target pages after login (e.g., homepage or modules)

  • Customize the login and welcome texts

  • Enable guests to request access credentials via a self-service link

  • Provide a multilingual and responsive login experience

  • Activate full integration with the PMS (e.g., ASA, Casablanca)


How to set up the Guest Login

  1. Activate Access
    The Guest Login is active by default. In "My Stay" or "Login," guests can access their personal area.

  2. Define Module Intro Text
    The introductory texts can be edited under "Settings" > "Login Page" or "Module Intro Text."

Check PMS Synchronization

Guests must be correctly entered in the PMS (room guest, unique email, active check-in). Only then can they be automatically recognized and logged in.


FAQ

How do guests log in without a password?

Guests can log in using their last name and reservation number, provided their booking is active and correctly transmitted in the PMS.

By clicking on "My Stay" or "Login," guests can enter their room number and password to log in. If they haven't received access credentials, they can use the "Login with Reservation Number" button and enter their reservation number and last name.


EXCEPTION: For the PMS systems ASA and Casablanca, where Pre-Check-In login is currently possible, the guest does not have to be checked in yet — they can also log in with their reservation number and last name. It is important to note the following here:

If you have activated the Pre-Check-In login function, the guest can already log in before check-in using their last name and reservation number. The guest MUST be entered as a room guest in ASA or Casablanca, and a valid email address must be stored for the room guest.

How can I create a target page after Login?

To configure this, go to:
GUESTAPP > My Stay > Settings > Welcome Email

There are four target pages available:

  • My Stay

  • Start Page

  • Room Invoice

  • Flexipass

This configuration can be set per location and applies immediately after login via any access method (email/password or reservation number).

What to do if guests cannot log in?

Check the following:

  • The guest is correctly listed as a room guest in the PMS

  • A unique email is stored

  • The guest appears under "My Stay – Current Stays" in Guestnet with his mail adress.

  • The guest is checked in

  • At least 20 minutes have passed since check-in

How to configure the room invoice display?

In the admin area, under Settings, you can define how the room invoice is displayed to guests. The following options are available:

  • Show room bill only the day before departure
    → The module remains visible to the guest, but a message informs them that the invoice can only be accessed one day before departure.

  • Do not show room rate on invoice
    → Only additional services will be displayed in the invoice overview; overnight charges will be hidden.

  • Note text
    → If a text is entered here, it will be displayed to the guest under My Stay > Room Bill.


How to restrict areas of the guest app to logged-in guests only?

With the Guest Login function, you can restrict access to certain modules. To activate this:

  • Expand the desired group.

  • Click the pencil icon on the corresponding box.

In the editing window, activate the option "Accessible only with login."

Which link can I send to the guest for direct login?

This is a deep link to the login mask with parameters, directly referencing an existing reservation. It consists of:

  1. Base URL:
    https://professional.guest.net/my-holiday/reservation-login

  2. Parameter reservationNumber

    reservationNumber=41
    → This number corresponds to the internal reservation number, which is provided by the PMS or the Guestnet interface.

  3. Parameter lastname
    lastname=Brunner
    → The guest’s last name, exactly as it is stored in the PMS.

What do my guests have access to after logging in?

Can guests settle their bill before the day of departure?

The data in Guestnet is taken directly from the PMS. This means that all entries are displayed exactly as they are stored in the PMS. A partial prepayment via Guestnet is not possible. However, if the guest makes an advance payment directly at the reception and the invoice is updated accordingly in the PMS, this change will also be reflected in Guestnet.

Full payment can be made starting from the day before departure. You also have the option to set the exact time for this. You can activate this setting in addition to your package. You can find more information about this under Self-CheckOut.

Can guests share their login?

Yes, a guest who is already logged in can share their access with fellow travelers. In the "My Vacation" section, they will find the option "Share Login".

The guest can choose whom to share access with – either via Quick Login using a QR code or by sending a login link through various platforms.
